Mission: to promote and enhance the historical tradition of storytelling.

Vision: to Develop an educational and cultural venue for storytelling, Enable individuals to express the historical oral tradition of storytelling, and to Advance the tradition of oral storytelling by providing educational and entertaining programs that include visual arts, dance, music, creative writing and technology.

Future Generations: presently, the Stone Soup Storytelling Institute provides a venue for novice storytellers and artists to develop by supporting storytelling events in local schools and hosting amateur competitions. The Institute hosts and presents the annual Stone Soup Storytelling Festival.

Community Involvement: Programs may include storyteller presentations, educational seminars and workshops in local schools and other venues. Festival events may include: a variety of storytelling sessions; performance and educational workshops;amateur "story swaps"; a character parade through the downtown area; puppetry; local and regional artists; musical entertainment; "special" celebrations and events. Cyling and a 5k run. Stone Soup partners with a variety of groups to foster community connection and common bonds through the sharing of stories, history and experiences.
