    The 2011 Stone Soup Festival date has been set! The next upcoming festival will be held on April 29-30, 2011, with additional events held throughout the year.

  • Local storytellers Rixon Lane and Dixie Page, will appear on Your Carolina with Jack and Kimberly (Channel 7 / WSPA) on April 14 at 10:00am.  Dixie Page is one of the founders of the Stone Soup Storytelling Festival in Woodruff, SC.  Be sure to tune in!

  • Kevin Cordi, author of Raising Voices, will present a free storytelling program at the Woodruff Library, 234 East Hayne Street, Woodruff, SC from 1-2pm on Monday, March 8, 2010.

  • Tally Johnson, local author of Ghosts of the South Carolina Upcountry and Ghosts of the Carolina Midlands, is one of our tellers for Stone Soup Storytelling Festival Friday night "Ghost Stories" on April 23.
  • Dr. Kirk Neely, author of A Good Mule Is Hard To Find, will tell at the Stone Soup Storytelling Festival "Senior Luncheon" on Friday, April 23 and also will perform at the "Grand Finale" on Saturday, April 24.
  • 100th Anniversary of the Timrod Library will be celebrated during the 2010 Stone Soup Storytelling Festival. The Timrod Library was the first branch library in Spartanburg county and has been recently renovated. It serves as an example of literary history and showcases memorabilia collected by the Woodruff community.
